We had 8 teams (3 individuals, 5 composite teams) and had a great time on a beautful sunny Wellington day.  Thanks the the wonderful volunteers (David, Brian, Gavin, Will and Mark) the whole thing went off without a hitch!

Event Details

Get out and proud at the inaugural Rainbow Fun Triathlon which will be held on Saturday 5 March 2016 as a part of the Wellington Pride Festival.  It features an 800m sea swim, 10km bicycle ride and 5km run, with teams of up to three people undertaking the three sections.

DSW Swim Club and Wellington Frontrunners will create the teams from the registrations.

The focus is on fun rather than competition. It will start from Freyberg Beach at 10am, with a briefing at 9.30am.  We’ll head to a local café afterwards for lunch and a beer.
